Intercontinental Hotels Group to launch 45 more hotels in India

Intercontinental Hotels Group, the largest hotel company in the world measured by rooms (with 687,000 as of February 2014), and has over 4,600 hotels across over 100 countries is going to start building 45 more hotels in India in next few years down the line. They already has 60 hotels operating in various cities in India and by seeing more growth in Indian hospitality management and more demand in this segment they are interested to expand more. This group is operating in India since 1965.

As per company's CEO RICHARD SOLOMONS "India is in the top 10 and top 10 is where we are very focused."

This investment will be one of the largest expansion from this company and after that India will be the 3rd largest country after USA and China from their presence point of view. Over the next 10 years India will be the top one among the emerging market in Hotel & Hospitality sector.
